1STEP 1

Create a New Project

Setting up a translation project in Ailaysa is a simple, guided process. You can define your project details, upload your source file, and optionally add a glossary or Style Memory to customize the translation according to your requirements.

Create a New Project

1.1

Starting a project from your dashboard

Your central dashboard provides an overview of all your projects, recent documents, team collaborations, and active translation credits.

  1. 1.Log in to your Ailaysa account at ailaysa.com.
  2. 2.From the Dashboard, click New Project in the top-right corner.
Note

New to Ailaysa? Click 'Get started' on the homepage to register your account before creating your first project.

2STEP 2

Enter Project Details

Provide basic information for your project: project naming, description, and source and target language pairs.

Enter Project Details

2.1

Provide the basic information for your project

Enter key project settings to help you organize and customize the translation workflow:

  • •Project Name – Enter a name that helps you easily identify the project.
  • •Description – Optionally add a brief description of the project.
  • •Source Language – Select the language of your original content.
  • •Target Language – Select the language you want to translate your content into.
Note

Once you have entered the required information, click Continue to proceed to file upload.

3step 3

Upload Your File

Upload the file you want to translate. Ailaysa supports single documents as well as full multi-chapter books.

Upload Your File

3.1

Upload source content

The next step is to upload the file you want to translate.

You can either drag and drop your file into the upload area or select it from your device.

3.2

Translating a book?

You do not need to upload individual chapters separately. If your book is available as a single file, upload the complete book.

Ailaysa will automatically split the book into chapters internally as part of the translation workflow.

4 STEP 4

Add a Glossary or Style Memory

Optionally customize your translation by providing preferred terminology or guiding the authorial tone and style.

Add a Glossary or Style Memory

4.1

Customizing your translation assets

Ailaysa allows you to further customize your translation by adding:

  • •Glossary – Use a glossary to provide preferred terminology, translations, or domain-specific terms that should be followed throughout the project.
  • •Style Memory – Use a Style Memory to provide guidance on your preferred writing style, tone, and other stylistic requirements.
Note

Both options are optional. You can skip this step if you do not have a glossary or Style Memory to apply.

4.2

Consistency recommendations

For consistent terminology and style across your translations, we recommend using a glossary and Style Memory when they are available.

For more information, see our guides on Creating and Using Glossaries and Creating and Using Style Memories.

5step 5

Review and Create the Project

Review your project settings, uploaded file, language pairs, and linguistic assets before initiating your project.

5.1

Final review & creation

Review the project information you have provided, including the project details, uploaded file, language settings, and any glossary or Style Memory you have selected.

When everything is correct, click Create Project.

Your translation project is now set up and ready to proceed.

  • •Project details and metadata confirmed
  • •Source file uploaded and formatted
  • •Source & target language pair locked
  • •Optional glossary & style memory applied
Note

After creation, your project opens in TransEditor or Tiger, where you can translate, edit, or collaborate with team members.
